Welker beats Ross

Round two of the Texas vs. Texas Tech contest goes to the Red Raiders and Wes Welker.
Aaron Ross appeared to be in man coverage against Welker, and when the speedy slot receiver took off across the field, Ross couldn't keep up.
Welker made a catch for a 19-yard completion and Gibril Wilson brought him down.

Ross and his defensive mates are getting no help from Eli Manning on the offense. They've been on the field constantly, and they've held stubbornly time after time. Thanks to them, the Giants only trail by four points in the fourth quarter. They couldn't (realistically) ask for a better position.
As I write that, Manning connects with tight end Kevin Boss for a 35-yard gain, and they are driving.
